My research, deeply rooted in moving images, develops from an interest in digital cultural dynamics and phenomena: materials and scenarios that I study, appropriate, and recirculate from different perspectives, blending footage and authorial choices with found footage.
What unites the various projects, even in their apparent heterogeneity, is the gaze with which I select and reconnect the materials I use.
With a constant shift in tone and register, my practice is based on constructing a method that traces the evolution of individual things and, by connecting them to scenes, events, or gestures, highlights the dynamics, aspirations, and socio-historical contexts that shape our lives. In doing so, my research straddles the boundary between the construction of individuality and its relationship with the digital community, establishing ambiguous territories and the constant renegotiation of desire.
The aim is to question the assumptions and desires that influence our lives, considering subjectivity and collectivity as shifting, permeable thresholds, without necessarily seeking a univocal answer.
